The Sponsor A Student program is a newly formed initiative of St. Peter Chanel and its Advancement Office. The mission of the program is to help students with financial need to attend St. Peter Chanel through the generosity and personal support of a mentor. The program is designed to provide a quality, faith-based education to students with financial obstacles that prevent them from attending Chanel. St. Peter Chanel believes that every student should have the opportunity to attend high school at an institution where they can express their values and prepare for college.
We are asking members of the Chanel community to make this a reality for students and families who simply cannot afford a private education. Those who become involved in the Sponsor a student are expected to make a financial committment supporting a Chanel student for a fixed period of time. Ideally, this committment would continue through the conclusion of a student's academic career at the school. Beyond that, the school encourages personal interaction between the student and the sponsor. While this is not a requirement, St. Peter Chanel is confident that a personalized relationship, on any level, will be a driving force in the success of the Sponsor A Student program
