The St. Peter Chanel Band will be hosting an event for all prospective students this Saturday, December 17th from 12 pm-3pm in the band room. It is a great opportunity to meet current members of the Chanel band, and to experience playing at the high school level. Afterwards, the Band will host an ice cream social. Courses Offered
Beginning Band – Open to all students wishing to learn an instrument. The beginning band is a direct link to the Varsity Band Varsity Band – Open to anyone who has experience playing an instrument. The Varsity band comprises of marching band during the fall, and concert band the rest of the year. Concert Choir – Open to anyone who is new to singing, underclassmen, or just starting to sing in a choir. Concert choir students then may join the Chorale. Chorale – Mostly for upperclassmen, and anyone who has been the Concert choir.
All performances classes meet every day, 5 days a week, for a full year. Full credit is given for each class.
Music Appreciation – A half year course covering history, theory, and general music topics. The class is tailored each semester to the students desires in the class.
