OPEN HOUSES:  Wednesday, October 21, 2009;  6:30 - 8:30 pm          Sunday, November 15, 2009; Noon - 3:00 pm     St. Peter Chanel High School is proud to continue its scholarship program for 8th grade students who take a scholarship entrance exam.  Chanel will be awarding more scholarship money this year than at any time in their 51-year history.  These scholarships are four-year renewable awards, contingent upon student academic performance in maintaining a  3.0 grade point average.  The scholarship program is based solely on entrance examination scores.  These are the criteria for qualification:                  Students scoring in the 96th percentile and above will qualify for a  $3,000 scholarship                  Students scoring between the 90th and 95th percentile will qualify for a  $2,000 scholarship                  Students scoring between the 80th and 89th perceitle will qualify for a  $1,500 scholarship   Our scholarship exams are a fee based item.  The cost of taking one exam is $20. Scholarship exams are administered four times each year.  The following is a calendar of available open exams dates.    Saturday, October 24, 2009;  9:00 am - Noon; Scholarship Exam Wednesday, November 11, 2009; 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm; Scholarship Exam Saturday, November 21, 2009; 9:00 am - Noon; Scholarship Exam Saturday, December 12, 2009; 9:00 am - Noon; Scholarship Exam Saturday, January 9, 2010; 9:00 am - Noon ; Scholarlship Exam   All academic scholarships are awarded solely on entrance exam score for those who score in the 60th percentile or above.   With their outstanding college attendance rate, close-knit family community, and diverse student body, Chanel prepares its students for what lies ahead of them in the "real world."  The Post Secondary Enrollment Option Program (PSEOP) with Cuyahoga Community College allows its students who qualify the opportunity to earn up to 33 college credits without leaving the Chanel campus, at no additional cost.  Chanel's Class of 2009 had 98% of their 63 graduates attend four-year colleges and 65% earned college scholarships amounting to over $4+ million.

Contact Scott Gongos ext. 144 to sign up!   HOW TO APPLY Catholic Grade school students can apply to St. Peter Chanel High School using the application form provided to them in the January of their 8th grade year.   Public school students and transfer students may download this APPLICATION DIRECTIONS TO CHANEL   2009-2010 TUITION $8,350.00  There are no book fees, no lab fees, no activity fees, no athletic or extracurricular pay-to-play fees!   Children of Alumni receive a 10% discount.   Children of Lumen Cordium Alumni receive $750 discount     Families with more than one child enrolled also receive discounts.
